Types of care at Aster Care Home

At Aster Care Home we offer specialised care for all our residents.

We have in-house staff who are trained to provide engaging, person-centred caring, as well as always willing to go above and beyond to make the life of your your loved one better.

We enjoy getting to know your loved one and this in-turn helps us improve the level of care we give. Our 24 hour care allows residents and staff to build relationships and while receiving a high quality level of care.

Our Young Adults Centre is a modern, purpose built unit with luxurious and modern facilities within a homely, safe and stimulating environment. The Unit is designed to meet the specialist needs of young clients aged 18-65.

General Nursing and Residential Care

At Aster Care Home, our aim is always to provide person-centred and compassionate care within a Homely setting. We focus on preserving the dignity of our elderly residents, whilst enabling residents to be as independent as possible. We provide a tailored plan of assistance and care within a stimulating and homely environment, working together with residents and families to ensure that all our residents continue to get the best out of life. Nurses regularly come into the home to aide with more complex issues, this makes it more convenient for our residents.

We offer 59 Elderly Beds for Residential and Nursing Clients, all bedrooms come with en suite bathrooms.

We offer facilities such as a hairdresser, chiropodist, and you can order a newspaper to be delivered to your bedroom daily from your local paper shop, we also offer the opportunity to go to Church and we also have the local Church come in on the last Sunday of every month to sing some hymns for all to enjoy. We offer a wide range of various activities to our residents plus outings to Theatres and trips to the sea side.

Dementia Care at our Amara Centre

Aster Care Home provides dementia care for residents who require it. We understand the toll that dementia can take on a person and their family which is why we try to do all we can to help. Our specially trained staff know how to help and will work with your loved one.

The Amara Centre has 16 Residential bedroom, which has been designed for people living with Dementia.

The Amara Centre offers Themed areas within the unit, with large lounge with HD Freeview TV

Young Adult Care and Learning Disabilities

With facilities designed for young adults and people with learning disabilities, Aster Care Home will offer a fantastic and homely environment for your loved one to stay.

All 27 bedrooms have en suite showers, wheelchair user friendly furniture and is designed with the disabled person in mind. Ceiling hoists are fitted in each room along with a 32 inch free view TV and Wi-Fi.

The centre has a large spacious lounge, including a smoke room, IT suite and café diner to be enjoyed by all. Modern décor throughout. The centre is run by enthusiastic, dedicated staff of all levels.
